Life can be challenging and we all need help from time to time.  That's why it is important to connect with a family of believers.  Finding a church to worship in, and connecting with people to encourage you is extremely important as you pursue your destiny in God.  At Horizon Christian Church, we know there is help and hope to be found in God's Word, which contains every answer to the challenges of life.  Our hope is in God, whose Word (the Bible) is our handbook for living.

When you join us for a weekend experience here at Horizon, you will find people who love worshipping God with passion.  We are a church with people living in the presence and purpose of God!  You will also find first-class ministries designed for kids of all ages with exciting opportunities for your kids and teens to learn and grow.  You'll find relevant, inspiring teaching and preaching that's applicable to where you live today.  You will also find a great sense of expectation for all that God has to offer, and one of the more fulfilling things about Horizon...  a place to have great relationships and make friends, a place to get involved, a place to belong.

About Horizon
Horizon Christian Church began in September of 2005.  The founding Pastors, Tom & Linda, were compelled to start a church in the Reno-Sparks area.  Horizon was founded on the pattern on the New Testament Church, operated by a Board of Elders and affiliated with Minister's Fellowship International of Portland, Oregon.

Horizon Christian Church is a non-denominational church made up of people from many different backgrounds coming together to worship Jesus Christ.  You will find our services uplifting, our music heartfelt, our people friendly, and our preaching encouraging.

Our Mission
Our mission is to build a New Testament, local church, proclaiming the good news about Jesus Christ to all people (young and old, rich and poor, red and yellow, black and white).  This will be done through building people, leaders, and families, first in our city, and then to the ends of the earth.
 
Horizon Christian Church will be marked by several notable characteristics and emphases: faith, prayer, love and compassion, prophetic preaching, racial diversity, liberal giving, ministry to the poor, spiritual worship, gifts of the spirit, international missions, unity, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
 
The goal of Horizon Christian Church is to be a place where Heaven touches earth (a horizon place) for people of all races, ages and economic levels, preaching a message of good news!

Horizon Christian Church is strategically planted to be a church that draws people from the entire Reno-Sparks area.  After all, "If the church is alive, it's worth the drive!"

We Love Kids
Horizon Kids is for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade. Parents find the atmosphere of our classes to be positive and faith-filled.  Our trained volunteer staff bring an attitude of joy and impart life to the children of every age. 

Excellent child-care is also provided for birth through 2 years.  Horizon kids pre-school teaches a love for God, the Bible, and others through exciting and fun activities.
